In 2014, proceeds from Taste of the Nation Boston locally supported these organizations that are dedicated to fighting childhood hunger:

COOKING MATTERS MASSACHUSETTS A non-profit organization teaching nutrition education and hands-on cooking skills to low-income families while incorporating food safety and how to shop healthfully on a budget through six curricula that are tailored to meet the needs of kids, teens and adults.  Classes are taught in Boston, Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, Chelsea, Cambridge, Quincy, Plymouth, Fitchburg, Framingham, Worcester, Marlborough, and Cape Cod, and are they are currently adding more sites.

PROJECT BREAD Project Bread is dedicated to alleviating, preventing, and ultimately ending hunger in Massachusetts. Through the Walk for Hunger, the oldest continual pledge walk in the country, they provide millions of dollars each year in privately donated funds to more than 430 emergency food programs in 125 communities statewide. They also champion programs that provide food to families in neighborhood settings such as schools, after-school programs, summer programs, community health centers, hospitals, and elder home care facilities — making hunger relief a normal part of their day.
