Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provides food annually through its network of partner agencies in 16 counties of North and South Carolina. Other programs provided include Kids Cafe, feeding children who come to school hungry every day and the Second Harvest BackPack Program, which provides backpacks full of food for children at risk of hunger on the weekends. Plus the Mobile Pantry Program to deliver truckloads of food directly to rural areas of our region.

Community Culinary School of Charlotte
The Community Culinary School of Charlotte (CCSC) provides training in the food service industry for the unemployed and underemployed who have experienced previous barriers to gainful employment. "We're fighting hunger while creating opportunity".


Enter your artwork in the inaugural poster design competition as Charlotte's Taste of the Nation® for No Kid Hungry celebrates 20 years!

Call for submission is now open to our poster design competition, highlighting the vibrant arts and culinary scene of Charlotte. Our 20th Anniversary poster contest is an opportunity for you to illustrate what you think defines our event, our city, and our community. 

The winning poster will be displayed on the Charlotte Taste of the Nation website and social media outlets on March 20, 2015. Reproductions will be available for purchase at the event and a framed, signed poster will be included in the event's silent auction. The winner will receive 2 VIP tickets to the event, to be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Please note, all event attendees must be 21 or over.

Entries must be submitted by March 15, 2015 to Subject line: Charlotte TON Poster Competition. Your entry must include a poster submission form. 

- Entries must be submitted in a DIGITAL format as a high resolution PDF or JPG/TIFF format.

- Entries must be vertically oriented, e.g. must be able to fit 18" wide x 24" tall poster format without loss of image. 

- Images must be at least 300dpi at a minimum size of 8" x 11".

- Images must be fully scalable and able to be increased in size to 18" x 24" without loss of resolution or image detail. 

- Each person may submit up to 2 entries.

- The entries and their underlying design may be used by Share Our Strength, its sponsors, collaborators and assigns at the sole discretion of Share Our Strength.

- There is NO entry fee.

- All event attendees must be 21-years-old or older.
