Funds raised through Houston's Taste of the Nation support No Kid Hungry, Share Our Strength's national campaign to end childhood hunger in America, and these local Houston partners: Houston Food Bank, Kids' Meals and The Center for Public Policy Priorities.
In Texas, 1 in 4 kids struggle with hunger. Only 12% of kids who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch area also getting summer meals; only 62% of the same kids receive school breakfast.
Your support through a ticket or sponsorship purchase will help launch school breakfast programs, recruit summer meals, and empower families to shop for an prepare healthy meals. It also provides grants to the most effective hunger-fighting organization across the country to help them end child hunger in their communities. In Houston, those organizations are the Houston Food Bank, Kids' Meals and The Center for Public Policy Priorities. Learn more about our work in Texas here.
